.... Iniziano finalmente a nascere altri notiziari speleo che utilizzano tecnologie facili e simili a quelle che mi consentono di portare avanti la scintilena, in Inghilterra arriva "Speleoblog" a cura di Speleolab, a Napoli nasce Napoli Underground a dicembre 2003....

O Museu do Subterrâneo de Nápoles (Museo del Sottosuolo), Itália, foi oficialmente inaugurado e recebeu grande repercussão na mídia local.
O museu convida o visitante a conhecer a "cidade por baixo da cidade" além de promover uma série de eventos culturais. Tratase de uma coleção montada durante 50 anos de explorações do engenheiro Clemente Esposito, presidente da Sociedade Espeleológica do Sul da Itália.
A coleção contém artigos que datam da época em que se extraía

Just before scaling a wall in the gigantic cavern beneath Piazza Cavour, Fulvio Salvi had said to me, "Just think of the money people pay to walk through the sewers of Paris. We need better press in Naples. We have an area twice the size of the Vatican down here." Then, up he went, hand over hand, working without a net, gripping the handholds dug out of the soft tuff rock by some long forgotten Neapolitan cave digger.
Twice the size of the Vatican! That impressed me, one who does not visualize...

... è nato un progetto: Napoli underground.
Il suo scopo principale è di far conoscere anche ai non addetti ai lavori lo sterminato sottosuolo napoletano e i suoi segreti.
Dal progetto è nato anche un interessante sito web, Napoliunderground sviluppato sulla piattaforma open source Linux.
Proprio l’idea di open source, di apertura alle nuove idee e agli scambi, sembra essere la base teorica su cui è stato progettato il sito, che per questo sembra assomigliare più ad un portale a carattere informativo che ad un sito-vetrina.
Il sito è ad alto contenuto informativo e viene costantemente aggiornato.
Gli iscritti possono quotidianamente leggere news sulla scoperta di nuove grotte, incidenti, raduni, visite in conche e cave.
