Translated Jeff Matthews

A praiseworthy initiative undertaken by the Abruzzo National Park of Lazio and Molise to study and preserve Ursus arctos marsicanus (the Apeninne or Marsican Brown Bear) has led to the publication of an interesting pamphlet, free and downloadable as a .pdf file. It contains information, graphs and photos all aimed at bringing about a peaceful  coexistence between this species and ourselves. There are said to be only about 50 members of the species within the confines of the park, and we recommend this pamphlet highly. It is in Italian, but struggle through it. The photos and graphics will reward you.
