Translated Jeff Matthews

On Sunday, May 29, there will be a World Wildlife Fund Italia Day held at the Pannarano Oasis within the Partenio National Park in the province of Benevento. The entire day will dedicated to the wolf and its territory and will include excursions to the summit of the Montagna di Sopra (lit. "the Mountain Up There!) of the Partenio and discussions of the current state of this "last custodian of the forests." Additionally, there will be  sampling of local foods.

Since the WWF is now 50 years old, the Campania region has renewed its commitment to the "Green Heart of Africa" in an attempt to aid the Dzanga Sangha basin of the Congo, an area second only to the Amazon basin in terms of being a "green lung" of our planet. The Dzanga Sangha is sorely set upon by poachers and other destroyers of the environment. From the 15 to 30 May, you may donate to WWF with an SMS to 45599.

Please come and join us.
