Here we offer you a series of photos taken by Napoli Underground at the archaeological park of Cuma, focusing on the well-known three lunar calendars cut into the stone walls.

This link will take you to an Italian article entitled "Calendari lunari a Cuma" extracted from the book "Evidenze archeoastronomiche a Cuma" (Edizioni Scientifiche Italiane, Napoli, 2003) by Franco Ruggieri, cordinator of the Section for Archaeo-Astronomy of the Unione Astrofili Napoletani. Even if you do not read Italian, the graphics are exemplary and will be of interest.

This next link points to a three-part video—they are short (from 7-9 minutes each). It is a documentary on the topic of the lunar calendars of Cuma. Part one is presented in English and is a fine visual introduction to Cuma, itself. Parts 2 and 3 are in Italian and are a detailed analysis of the calendars. Again, they are visually informative and even if you don't understand spoken Italian, you will profit from them. The documentary is produced by the Unione Astrofili Napoletani together with the Special Superintendency for Archaeological Heritage of Naples and Pompei.

We remind you that calendars A and B are located on the external walls west of the so-called Grotto of the Sibyl, while calendar C and the spindle-shaped design are on the north wall of lateral arm M on the west side of the dromos.
