Translated Jeff Matthews

In the basements of the Palazzo Serra di Cassano, you find something truly unexpected—a German BMW motorcycle with sidecar attachment from the Second World War, found at Cassino and restored. It has been rebuilt and displays two M.G. (Maschinengewehr/machine gun) 34's. (At least it seems to be to be the model displayed.) It is not the only one on display.

Such period objects are on display in room 'internoA14'. They include the assault rifle] MP (maschinenpistole) 44 (copied by the Soviets to produce their well-known Kalashnikov AK 47.

The exposition space is 160 sq meters /190 sq yards in area and titled simply “internoA14”. From their literature “The space is meant as a further gateway to art, culture and design. The idea of Vincenza Donzelli, the Cultural Association internoA14 presents itself as a very mixed aggregation of creative ideas, both ancient and modern.”

Once you have seen the exhibits, Vincena Donzelli will accompany you to a stairway dug into the limestone rock that descends even further into a passage organized by the Bourbon Gallery: “The Road of Memories”.

And this is just the first step.
