In 2011 an application for Apple mobile devices appeared on the market called iTour NA. It was a delightful digital guidebook, well-designed and useful, for navigating through the area of the Campi Flegrei and the western end of the gulf of Naples, one of the most historic areas in Western culture. iTour NA was a free download for the iPhone or iPad in both Italian and English. The guidebook was the work of Neapolitan software designer Sirio Salvi and others connected with Napoli Underground (Nug). Unfortunately, iTour NA is no longer available, and that is a shame, but at least the English-language contents are still available on the website, Naples: Life, Death & Miracles. The format reproduces at least the "feel" of the original, and the information on hours and tickets prices has been updated and should be current, so you can actually use the display as a guide.
