News from across the Channel

The more attentive among you may remember distant November 2010 when Nug undertook and carried to completion an epic project. Without even having that much faith how it was going to turn out, we dared to put on, by ourselves, the 1st International SpeleoMovie Web Festival, absolutely the first international festival of Caving Documentaries presented on the internet.

We got a lot of positive feedback—and contributions—from abroad. Among these we fondly recall the work of director Paul Taylor of Redhouse Productions who, from the UK, took part with his film "Otter Hole Cave 40 Years on 1970-2010". It told the story of Sparky, the then 73-year-old English caver who wanted to return after an absence of 40 years, to the Otter Hole Cave, which he had explored in his youth.

All the videos that we showed during the festival have been assembled and may now be viewed on a special YouTube playlist of Napoli Underground.

A few days ago we were happy to find this note from Paul Taylor in the credits of his film: “If you would like a copy of this film with improved quality please see my You Tube Channel Redhouse Productions Glos which has a link to my website. Paul Taylor."

Thanking him again for this clarification, we urge you to have another look at this moving film in high resolution at the following link. Redhouse Productions Glos.

The playlist of all the videos shown at the festival is here: 1° International SpeleoMovie Web Festival
